| Starting from the
6th position, Belinda Endress made her moves early in lap one overtaking
Dana Moore on turn 2 going up the hill, hot on Audry Zavodsky's tail,
Endress over took her in turn 7. Maintaining 4th position for the duration
of the 45 min race. Belinda Endress "Well, I didn't qualify as well as
I would have liked to. This track is technical and busy. A lot of give
and take with the car. I almost felt like showing up to a piano recital
not having practiced, being that it has been 3 months sense I've been
in a race car. I had to change my mind set from the last race in Charlotte.
I learned a lot this event. The first lap was a hoot, I new I had to make
my moves on the first couple of laps. Every body is getting more familiar
with the cars, not to mention how equal these cars really are. Passing
is very tough. I had a good race with Zavodsky, she was faster on some
parts of the track and I was faster on others. It made for a good race.
As far as the leaders are concern, with almost 50 years of experience
between the three to my one, I didn't do to bad. I want to thank my sponsor
Xtreme Island Designs and the good Lord for the opportunity to compete
in such a wonderful sport!" |
