IN HER OWN WORDS...
When did you begin driving?
I have always been a driver, but as far as competition, I was so very
fortunate to hook up with some fellow racers that gave me an opportunity to
drive and see if I had what it takes to compete.
What is your favorite thing about racing?
My favorite thing about racing is to be involved with people that dig deep
and do anything to get the job done. They have the ability to put all other
things aside, doing their absolute best and at the same time are gracious.
Racing is also Art in motion, and it is a wonderful creative outlet for me.
What is the most challenging part of racing?
Getting Sponsors
Which is your favorite track? Why?
I don't have a favorite track, I like them all. Each track has a different
make up, and that's one of the things that I find so enjoyable about road
racing. I do have some turns that are thoroughly enjoyable, like turn 17 at
Sebring, turn 12 at Road Atlanta to name a couple.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Hiking, Mountain Biking, Art and Instructing.
Do you have any superstitions?
No
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your life and racing career?
God has been the biggest influence on my life in all areas. Its because of
Him that I am blessed
enough to do something that I love to do. I'm so thankful for that. Also,
the competitors and all the people that make racing possible lend to a
sharpening of ones character that I have seldom found in any other area of
life, either business or sport.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all theses things will be added unto
you"
What do you feel has been your greatest accomplishment?
Although I have accomplished a lot, I have yet to see the greatest. Every
day there are new horizons.
Compare driving a race car to race horse riding?
They both require the same amount of confidence, skill and race savvy.
You definitely have to be extremely fit for race riding. Pound for pound,
Jockey's are the fittest athletes on the planet.
That is a proven fact. The big difference between racing cars and racing
horses is, a horse has a mind of his own, and a car does what you make it
do.
Did racing cars help you in your stunt driving experiences?
No, just having old cars did.
How did you get into pro wrestling?
I was doing some fighting stunts and got hooked up with Gene Le Belle and
Mondo Guerra, who both are well known in the industry. I really enjoy the
technical aspects and the metal training of the sport. Yes, it's
entertainment but when you walk into the ring you better know what your
doing, because if you make a mistake, it could cause serious injuries to you
or your opponent.
What goals have you set for yourself for this season and in the future?
Goals are in transition. Realistically, to run a full season next year in
Grand-Am with a winning team.
