BELINDA ENDRESS TO WHEEL GRAND-AM CUP CAR AT PHOENIX

NEWBURY PARK, Calif., Wednesday, April 10, 2002 — Hot off a top-ten finish in her Grand-Am Cup debut, Belinda Endress of Newbury Park, California is set to wheel the #29 Xtreme Island Designs/ Unicom Wireless/ GMG BMW M3 at the April 20^th UnitedAuto Sport 250 Grand-Am Cup event at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Endress will again co-drive in the high-horsepower GSI-class for Global Motorsports Group (GMG) of Newport Beach with James Sofronas. 

"This will be a fun event and great exposure for Xtreme Island Designs,” said the former class winner of the Longest Night of Moroso. “Last month’s run with GMG and Grand Am Cup at California Speedway was a great experience. Even though we had some setbacks, we persevered with an eighth-place finish. With a few corrections made to the car we should do quite well. The classes are separated for this event and that should prove to be exciting racing. I am really looking forward to it." 

Xtreme Island Designs (XID) of Honolulu will be the primary sponsor of the former stuntwoman’s BMW. XID is a maker of  high-energy island-oriented apparel that is sold throughout the United States. A strong supporter of Endress’ career for a number of years, XID is excited to be involved in Endress’ move into the highly competitive and professional Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series.

 Unicom Wireless joined Endress for the most recent Grand-Am Cup event at California Speedway where she and Sofranos team for a top-ten finish in their first race together. The Santa Clarita, Calif. company is the prime provider of wireless products and services for the Santa Clarita Valley. 

Endress owns and operates SK Productions, a sports video company. Prior to racing cars she was heavily involved in horse racing, working as an assistant trainer and exercise rider. Currently, outside of her daily work routine and racing, she acts as a safety and high performance-driving instructor in southern California.
